Lord of the Flies
I read “Lord of the Flies” when I was seven. I found this book as a syllabus for my mother for her master’s degree and I found this on a rack. This book was written by William Golding. A number of British boys get estranged on an island and this book explores how savage a human mind gets in absence of rules and in an attempt to save one’s life.
The Picture of Dorian Grey
“The Picture of Dorian Grey” is a masterpiece work by Oscar Wilde. I found this book very imaginative which explores themes of arts, beauty and morality. An artist paints a portrait a picture of a man named of Dorian Grey. The man gets obsessed with his eternal beauty and youth in his portrait that goes beyond a work of an art.
Siddhartha
“Siddhartha” is a book by Herman Hesse. When I first read the title I thought the books was based about Gautam Buddha unlikely it was based about a boy named Siddhartha who leaves his home to find salvation with a friend. But he ends up marrying a rich princess with palace and luxuries. He feels material wellbeing is something he had not aimed in life. After he gets old he ends up as a sailor with his friend to understand higher knowledge.
The Great Gatsby
“The Great Gatsby” is a masterpiece work by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This book explores a theme how love can change a person and where lover can take a person. A mysterious millionaire named Gatsby calls people in luxuries parties which he aims to unite his former lover Dasiy. This book explores a bond between wealth and reality.
Lord of the Rings
“Lord of the Rings” is masterpiece by J. R. R. Tolkien. There is one thing everyone should do if you know how to read English that is you should read” Lord of the Rings”. This book has shaped minds and changes perceptions of many readers. The story follows creation of a ring and a quest to destroy it. This book explores how good wills win over evil in every way. And also metaphysical reality that if you want something bad whole universe will help you get it and also a power of love.
